Selenite Plate from Greece

Greek Selenite was harvested near the Temple of Poseidon many years ago. As far as I know, this mine is no longer producing or accessible for further collection.
Many specimens feature unique mineral inclusions and a beautiful chevron pattern created by the layers of selenite. According to the mineralogist I purchased these from, the inclusions MAY include:
Pyrite: Tiny micro inclusions
Hematite: Dusty red inclusions
Limonite: Yellow bands
+ various other minerals
