La Viesca is a well-known fluorite mining locality located near the town of Huergo in the Asturias region of northern Spain. The La Viesca fluorite deposit is renowned among mineral collectors for its exceptional fluorite specimens, especially the blue ones. While fluorite can be found in various localities worldwide, La Viesca has produced a relatively small number of exceptionally high-quality fluorite crystals. These well-formed crystals are particularly rare and hard to get.
